Photo puzzle
Turn a photo into a jigsaw puzzle you print in a few colours: the dark parts stay low and the bright parts rise higher, so the picture appears in the relief.

Remove the background
The people stand out and the background does not use up your colours. Works best on a plain background; paint over the rest.

Choose a photo from your phone or computer. It is only used in your browser to make the puzzle; it is not uploaded.
The crop on your photo follows this shape.
Use the tools under the photo to mark the background. A plain dark or light background makes the people stand out and does not use up your colours.

Notes for printing this design
PHOTO PUZZLE: every colour is its own part in the 3MF (one filament per colour), lowest colour first. The colours change at fixed heights: the first colour is a thin base over every piece, each brighter colour is a layer on top. Print at the layer height named in the notes (0.08 to 0.16 mm), textured PEI plate, no brim on the pieces, a prime tower of about 45 mm so colours stay clean after each change, and let the plate cool before flexing the pieces off so the small knobs do not snap. The pieces are laid out in their finished positions with a 0.25 mm gap, so they print side by side and slot together afterwards. A frame and a stand, if chosen, are separate parts to print on their own plate.
